Brazil has added some solar equipment to its zero-tariff list

The Brazilian government issued an official communique Thursday, listing some imported solar energy equipment as zero-tariff and exempting them until the end of 2021, Globo reported. Brazil imports most of its solar power equipment from China. The recent sharp depreciation of the real has increased costs, a measure that could help local manufacturers become more competitive.
