Located on the east Atlantic ocean, bordering all South American countries except Chile and Ecuador. It borders French Guiana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela and Colombia to the north, Peru and Bolivia to the west, Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay to the south, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Its land area accounts for about 46% of the total area of South America, which is the fifth largest country in the world after Russia, Canada, China and the United States.



The whole terrain is divided into The Amazon plain, The Paraguay Basin, the Brazilian plateau and the Guyana plateau, among which the Amazon plain accounts for about 1/3 of the national area.



The Amazon, Parana and San Francisco are three major rivers. The Amazon River, 6,751 kilometers long, traverses northwest Brazil and covers an area of 3.9 million square kilometers in the Brazilian basin. The Parana river system includes the Parana and Paraguay rivers, flowing through the southwest, many rapids and waterfalls, rich in water resources; The San Francisco River system, 2,900 kilometers long, flows through the arid northeast and is the region's main source of irrigation water.




The coastline is more than 7,400 kilometers long, with a territorial sea of 12 nautical miles wide and an overseas exclusive economic zone of 188 nautical miles.




Almost all of Brazil is a tropical climate, the southernmost subtropical climate, the northern equatorial climate. The Brazilian plateau is a savanna climate, drought, rainy season, the average annual temperature of 22 degrees above.
