Brazil's population

On August 30, 2017, the official official gazette of Brazil released the results of the census conducted in 2017, with a total population of 207,660,929 people. People over 65 years old account for 10 percent, and women of childbearing age have 1.67 children per capita. If fertility rates remain low, the population will begin to shrink in 2043, with 25 percent of people over 65 in 2060. The official estimate of Brazil's national statistics office at the end of 2019 was 210 million.



The major states with population are Sao Paulo (45.09 million), Minas Geras (21.12 million), Rio DE Janeiro (16.72 million), Bahia (15.34 million), Nandahe (11.132 million) and Parana (11.132 million). The least populous state is Roraima (523,000).



Sao Paulo is the country's most populous city, with 12.11 million people, more than 26 states and the federal District. The least populous town is Serra da Saudade in Minas Gerais state, with a population of 812.



Currently, there are about 302,000 Chinese people in Brazil, mainly in Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Rio DE Janeiro
